So, we come to Christ with our small amount of righteousness, and as we grow closer to Him, He begins to increase our righteous to greater and greater degrees, right?
Not so. We come to Christ filled with sin and self, and the closer we come to Christ, the deader we become to self, thus allowing Christ to fill us with HIS righteousness.
“He must increase, but I must decrease” (John 3:30).
