A beautiful picture of God’s love is seen in the seasons. One of the overarching themes in my current work-in-progress, Cheeper, is seasons, and how they give an object lesson of redemption and God’s love for us.
Here is a portion of how I explained it in the intro to my book:
“Just as the leaves die and fall to the ground in autumn, and the new grasses rise and new leaves sprout in the spring, so Christ willingly laid down His life and rose again to pay the price for our sins. Because of His sacrifice, we can have the power to die to self and rise again to new life in Him.”
I encourage you to also read a post from one of my friend’s blogs, as it contains another such beautiful object lesson of God’s love in the seasons. It is called “But Love Said…” and you will find it here.
